All About Alexis
a Minnesotan at her core

Patient to Future Physician
From skiing down snowy hills in the winter to spending long summer days on Minnesota’s lakes, Alexis is a Minnesotan through and through. But for her, Minnesota means much more than its seasons and scenery.
Minnesota is home to the medical innovations that helped make her life possible. Growing up with a heart condition gave Alexis a firsthand understanding of the impact that care can have. Today, as she serves communities across the state as a paramedic, she carries those experiences with her every day. After earning a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and an A.S. in Paramedicine from Century College, she hopes to continue that journey by attending medical school.
Growing up in the Land of 10,000 Lakes taught Alexis to appreciate everything that makes Minnesota unique—from pothole-filled roads and hotdish dinners to small-town festivals and close-knit communities. Those experiences shaped who she is and love for the north star the state.
Because to Alexis, Minnesota is more than home—it's the place that helped keep her heart beating and inspired her to dedicate her life to helping others do the same.
